The latest trailer for Marvel’s “The Avengers” does not disappoint. In fact, it’s convincing me that this movie might just be an overload of awesome. Between the combination of characters, the actors behind them, and Joss Whedon running the show it’s shaping up to be more fun than a party at Tony Stark’s house.
I’ve heard a bit of concern over so many major characters being packed into one movie, but if anyone can pull it off it’s Joss Whedon. His ability to write great dialogue, compelling stories and balance characters is beyond question.
One need look no further than “Firefly” to prove Joss Whedon can handle the task. Even with so many main characters and the powerful personalities they all had, there was balance and definition between them all. I have absolutely no worries that Mr. Whedon will bring the same kind of expert craftsmanship to “The Avengers” and I will be bringing both my face and my family to the theater when the action begins.
