Our two alien youth from Defiance sat down with press at Comic Con to discuss the complex nature of playing other worldly creatures. Jesse Rath plays the son of Datak Tarr, the newly elected mayor of Defiance and leader of pretty much anything corrupt. The last name might be familiar because his sister Meaghan Rath plays Sally on Syfy’s Being Human. We also sat down with her at Comic Con. Stephanie Leonidas plays Irisa, the orange-skinned Irathient girl that is a daughter to Nolan (Grant Bowlers character). At the end of season 1 she dove off a cliff into a machine, but its clear we will see her return. Jesse and Stephanie talk about the unique way they practice speaking the alien language on set.
