Falling Skies returned to comic con and the fans were just as rabid for new information and to see the cast as ever before. Little did the fans know, but a special guest would also be appearing on stage. While we knew in advance we couldn’t share but Maxim Knight made a special appearance on the panel to ask a question to his cast mates.

The panel itself was made up of Noah Wyle (Tom), Moon Bloodgood (Anne), Connor Jessup (Ben), Drew Roy (Hal), moderator Wil Wheaton, Colin Cunningham (Pope), Sarah Carter (Maggie), Doug Jones (Cochise), executive producer Remi Aubuchon, and director/executive producer Greg Beeman. During the panel we were shown a clip from this Sunday’s episode and a preview of the final 3 episodes of the season. In the clip for tomorrows episode Tom is being tortured in another alien facility, similar to the harness factory Matt was kept in season 2.

Tom in his normal defiant self tells Karen to go to hell, in which she replied “If you haven’t noticed, this is hell”. Suddenly Tom’s team bursts in and captures Karen. After she refuses to reveal where Anne and Lexi are, Tom shoots her at point-blank range. The audience was not only shocked but screaming “hell ya” to that one. Something everyone agrees was a long time coming. Now, the episode title is “Strange Brew” and Falling Skies has a habit of pulling tricks out that surprises the audience. So the real question is, is Karen really dead?

The audience got to ask some questions and among the funniest of them was how each actor would like to see their characters die. Connor Jessup (Ben) said he would like his character to die in the very last episode of the final season, while Drew Roy (Hal) said “I would like to hijack a Beemer and fly through the air then crash into something to save everyone.” The audience loved that one. Does that sound like something Hal would do? Noah Wyle wanted his character to die an old man, while Moon wanted Anne to die in battle. Sarah Carter (Maggie) said she wanted to die in the arms of her man, to which the audience did a big “awww” moment. Doug Jones (Cochise), commenting that his race has only seen war, he wanted to die in the arms of Mrs. Cochise, in a passionate way. Eww, alien sex? Colin wanted to die in a blaze of glory as he was falling off a cliff shooting. Just like Pope right?

Another question brought up was whether or not we would see more Volm and if Doug Jones would be playing those additional Volm. Jones said he would probably play more Volm because there is only one costume, which is made just for him. And being the sly person Connor is, he adds that if there was a Mrs. Cochise, Doug would have to play her as well. After Doug described how he wanted Cochise to die, the audience put the two together and started laughing. Wheaton declared Connor the winner of the panel with “one million points”.

The panel also discussed the topic of Matt Mason and his role as a solider in the war against the aliens. Connor Jessup talked about whether they should preserve the innocence of kids like Matt or use them to help preserve life for future generations. School is not a major priority now, and the question of whether it should be seems to be addressed in the next 2 episodes.

When Will Patton was asked about whether Weaver could have a relationship given his characters circumstances he replied “Hell yes he is capable”, to which the panel laughed.

At the end of the panel a special clip was shown that revealed the final 3 episodes of the season and some crazy good footage that we are now going to show you below.
