Outlander: Bits Bits Bits – MOBY Promo Trailer & New Gaelic Lesson!

By: Erin Conrad

I must confess, I had been feeling slightly over-Outlandered lately. What with preparations for the Seattle trip (MOBY book release and Diana meet-n-greet on June 7), and all the other things that have come out lately, I was just a little bleh. But that’s over – today has been an exciting Outlander day!

First, this, on Twitter:

Given the beautiful main titles we’ve seen on other shows (Black Sails, Game of Thrones – yes, I know that’s not Starz), I have high hopes for Outlander’s opening!

A 7th Speak Gaelic lesson was released today. Adhamh O’Broin, the production’s Gaelic expert, taught us how to say the Fraser family motto, Je Suis Prest. I must say, I was not thrilled with Sam’s pronunciation; but given that it looks like they filmed all of these at once, months ago, and frankly, it’s a minor flaw in what is otherwise near-perfection, I didn’t really care.

The reason for my Seattle trip – the release of the 8th book in the Outlander series, Written in My Own Heart’s Blood! Here’s the brand-new book trailer:

When Book 7, Echo in the Bone, ended, we were left on several cliffs, hanging by our fingernails. Let’s hope we get some resolution quick! While I’m completely excited for this event (and planning to tweet and post from the event), I predict that it will be silent for a good part of the time, as we all scurry off to various corners of the Fisher Pavilion and find out what’s happened to Claire, Jamie, Bree, Roger and Jem!

Ian Watch is over – actor Steven Cree will play Ian Murray, Sr.

And finally, just a bit of beautiful Scotland – STARZ released this tremendous photo today.
