Scarlett Byrne Interview: Falling Skies ‘Lexi’ Spills Secrets

Falling Skies Lexi Scarlett Byrne

After the second episode of season 4 we clearly have reason to doubt Lexi’s intentions. Sure we doubted them in season 3 but once we saw her in her current form, she seems so lost and confused. The truth is far different. We had a chance to talk to Scarlett Byrne, who plays the new young adult version of Lexi and asked some pointed questions about whether we can trust her and what her relationship with her bothers is going to be like this season.

In episode 1 she is asked by Ben about the necklace and she mentions its a unity necklace for ‘the 3 of us’. Who is she referring to?

It is complexed because although Lexi is grown up, she is still a little child inside, despite her outward appearance. I think for Ben, Maggie and Lourdes this is the first time since the invasion that they are in a place that is safe. For Ben that is confusing, the idea of peace is just not clicking with him. Lexi’s entire being is to keep peace for them but I can’t say much else about what that means.

Safe to say, we think the unity necklace refers to at least Ben and Maggie and possibly Lexi. After this weeks episode, I have a feeling Lourdes was not one of the 3 she was referring to. But after meeting up with the overlord, we have to question what intentions it has for everyone in Chinatown and Maggie/Ben specifically.

We asked Scarlett about her relationship with her brothers Ben, Matt and Hal grows throughout the season. Currently she is separated from Matt and Hal but she does have Ben by her side.

I would say out of all three of them Ben and Lexi are the closest. I mean Ben saved her when they were under attack on the way to Charleston. And I think since Ben is present with her from the very beginning she definitely has a closer relationship with him. However, he isn’t buying any of what Lexi is saying when it comes to peace and being safe where they are, at least in the beginning.

Later in the season she will see her other brothers, but I would say she is still closest to Ben.

Well we all figured the Mason family would find each other again, I mean how couldn’t they? But that sounds like the others may not be so open to the new Lexi and what they learn about her. The real question is if Ben doesn’t believe her in the ‘beginning’ that indicates he does later on, so what changed? Does Ben drink the kool-aid like Lourdes? What about Maggie?

Will we learn about the role that Karen plays in Lexi’s current state and what happen to Anne? Well we can’t say what we will learn but we can say we will learn something very soon.

So now that we have grilled Scarlett for all the season 4 juicy details we asked which episode from a Lexi perspective was her favorite.

I won’t say exactly which one but later in the season my character goes through quiet a big change; And as an actress of a character that was the most surprising and most fun for me to do. It is towards the end of the season.

So how about that moon? And can we really trust Lexi?

You will get an answer about the Moon and there is a link there between Lexi and the Moon.

Well there is a lot to digest there and the season has only just started. Don’t miss a single episode as the story only pickups up steam from here.
