TNT’s new drama Legends (premiering August 13) will be hitting San Diego ComicCon in a big way – by covering the airport! TNT’s Comic-Con invasion will begin with the Legends takeover of San Diego International Airport, marking the first time a brand has ever taken over the airport. Travelers flying into San Diego the week of July 21 will be greeted with Legends imagery and messaging throughout the airport, including at baggage claim carousels and on escalators and skyway bridges. The Legends messaging will also extend to other parts of San Diego, with eye-catching billboards in the Gaslamp Quarter.
During Comic-Con, TNT is set to feature a Legends panel with cast members Ali Larter (Heroes), Morris Chestnut (American Horror Story, Nurse Jackie) and Tina Majorino (Grey’s Anatomy, True Blood), and executive producers Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24) and David Wilcox (Fringe). The session will open with a screening of the entire first episode of the series. Following the screening and panel, Legends cast members are set to participate in an autograph-signing session.
TNT is also set to launch a social media initiative supporting Legends in conjunction with its Comic-Con presence. The network is encouraging fans of actor Sean Bean to use the hashtag #DontKillSeanBean in social media postings about the show. The hashtag plays on the fact that Bean has died in more than 20 acting roles, including the two characters for which he is widely known: Boromir in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Eddard “Ned” Stark in the series Game of Thrones. The hashtag will have its own tumblr page and will be featured on Legends premium items being handed out to Comic-Con attendees.
The premise is intriguing: An undercover agent is plunged into a terrifying mystery over his own identity in TNT’s intense new drama series Legends, starring Screen Actors Guild Award® winner Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings). Based on the award-winning book by master spy novelist Robert Littell, Legends is being produced by Fox 21, with Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24), Alexander Cary (Homeland, Lie to Me) and Jonathan Levin (Charmed), Brad Turner (24) and showrunner David Wilcox (Fringe) serving as executive producers.
In Legends, Bean plays Martin Odum, an undercover agent working for the FBI’s Deep Cover Operations (DCO) division. Martin has the uncanny ability to transform himself into a completely different person for each job. But he begins to question his own identity when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn’t the man he believes himself to be. As Martin tries to find answers to the questions about his identity, he must also continue his primary job as an undercover operative, taking on such roles as a Serbian extremist, a Scottish soccer club executive, a corrupt Chicago police officer, British special forces colonel and a legendary computer hacker. There are many times, however, when he must choose between the demands of his job and his desperate desire to solve the mystery of his own identity. And he doesn’t always make the right choice.

Legends also stars Ali Larter as Crystal McGuire, a fellow operative who has a history with Martin; Morris Chestnut as Tony Rice, a smart, quick-witted and charming DCO agent; Tina Majorino as Maggie Harris, the newest member of the DCO team; Steve Harris (The Practice, Awake) as Nelson Gates, the director of the DCO Task Force; and Amber Valletta (Revenge) as Sonya Odum, Martin’s ex-wife; and Mason Cook (The Lone Ranger) as Martin’s pre-teen son, Aiden.
