A There are 8 books at the moment! Let’s hope more!!
Q What sites would you recommend tourists visit in Scotland?
A Skye, Edinburgh, and Outlander studios…
Q What’s your stance on fried chicken?
A With fries?
Q Is your hair naturally curly or permed for the show?
A All natural baby!
Q During shooting, how many hours a week do you work out?
A Depends on what schedule is. Every day if I can…
Q Did Cait laugh during the takes when Jamie asked Claire if she was a witch?
A Most likely! We worked a lot on that scene. Very important. Had to stop a lot for passing trains!
Q How does it feel to be back on set in Scotland? You’ve traveled the US a bit, have you ever been in Miami, FL?
A Love Miami!
Q Did you know Caitriona before working together?
A No, I’m lucky we found her!
Q What bothers you about being famous?
A Loss of personal life I guess.
Q What other historical Scottish figure would you like to play?
A Looking at a racing driver at the moment…
Q In episode 10, Jamie fights with the McDonalds. I thought I read you were descended from the McDonald clan. True?
A True. I tried to get it changed to Campbell’s.
Q With the new season 2 upgrades did you and Caitriona get fancy new trailers and maybe a new gym for you?
A both!!!
Q Have you ever listened to blues artists like Robert Johnson or Leadbelly?
A Love the blues. Used to play trumpet and trombone. Played a little blues!

A Very cool!
Q Will you do a podcast with Ron Moore for one of the episodes this season?
A Would love to, Ron’s podcasts are awesome, check them out.

A Macbeth!

A Yup! Important document and for a second Jamie forgets and does what is natural! Well spotted!

A Burts bees.
Q How much time in advance do you get a new script to learn before filming the episode?
A Sometimes a couple weeks but script changes can happen overnight. A lot of dialogue comes from Diana’s books.

A A bhalaich!

A Hmmm depends on the role… Which?

A I’ll do what happens in the books… My hair is pretty long now!
Q Can you tell us if filming Season 2 is much more exciting since Season 1?
A Feels like we have a good foundation to build on. Returning for Season 2 we can keep moving forward. Feels like family.
Q You were in Toronto recently for a tiny bit. Is there a place in Canada you’d like to visit that you haven’t yet?
A Love Canada! Want to see more of the Rockies!
Q Who cooks your dinners?
A I do! I love to cook. Though maybe think I’m better than I am…

A It’d be an honour. Don’t know much about the politics involved by charismatic person.

Q What did Cait and her sister say/do to inspire you to do the LA marathon? We are so proud of you!
A Thank you! We went for a hike. Cait’s sister does triathlons. She inspired me to do it. Trying to get Cait to do a half…

A They have more complex ways of saying it? Or in Gaelic…!
Q In school were you a jock, jokester, nerd, popular, quiet?
A Ha! All of the above, actually…

A Not usually. But somehow this show I can, when needed.
Q Have you done any screen tests for new characters in Season 2 yet?
A I’ve seen some new characters….! So exciting! Perfect casting!
Q Who’s the biggest flirt on set?
A ummm Caitriona!
A (from Caitriona) Eh exskkkkuuuuuseeee me Mr. I’ve probably flirted with the lamp post Heughan… I think not!!
Q How hard was it to sit in that window for 6 months? #legcramps
A Still there! Send help!
Q How long does it take the makeup crew to get your back scars to look so realistic?
A About 3 hours in morning, 1 hour in evening after shooting. But more prosthetics meant ALOT more time end of season…
