#6 – Space Dandy – FUNimation $32-$48 (Shop FUNimation)

Shinichiro Watanabe is back to blow minds with a madcap comic masterpiece that will melt your face if you sit too close to the television. Believe it, baby!

Rocket into the outer limits with the one and only Dandy! This dreamy space case and his to-die-for pompadour jets across the galaxy in search of aliens no one has ever laid eyes on. Capturing rare species may pay the bills, baby, but Dandy would rather kick back and enjoy the scenery at the nearest Boobies. Joined by his misfit sidekicks – a rundown vacuum cleaner robot called QT and Meow the alien space cat – Dandy boldly goes where no daper don has ever gone before. Hotly pursued by the chimp-faced Dr. Gel, the adventures of Dandy and the gang will make you laugh, then cry, and then laugh till you cry all over again. Buckle up for blast off, baby! You’re cruising with the Dandy now, and he don’t stop till the end of the universe.

#5 – Fate/Stay Night – Aniplex USA $180 (Right Stuf)

The main character Shiro has a few lines that make you question why they didn’t just kill him in the first episode but the series itself is an epic tale of the Holy Grail War and its a lot of fun.

The young and capable mage, Rin Tohsaka, prepares for her long-awaited Fifth Holy Grail War to begin… With her servant Archer, Rin enters the Holy Grail War as the sole heir to the prestigious Tohsaka family after her father’s death. But when Shirou Emiya, a boy from Rin’s school, unwittingly becomes a Master and is fatally wounded in battle, she has no choice but to save him. With Shirou and his servant Saber, Rin sets out to strike down the conspiracies surrounding the Holy Grail War. Will the Holy Grail bless Rin and Shirou’s path toward victory or will they be cursed with defeat?

#4 – The Last: Naruto The Movie – Viz Media $19.99 (Amazon)

Naruto is a classic anime that will always be apart of anyones anime collection in some form. The biggest draw back is the fact that even after over 400 episodes, its still not at the end of its story due to filler episodes but that means more Naruto fun.

Two years have passed since the fated battle between Naruto and Sasuke in the Village Hidden in the Leaves. A comfortable peace has fallen over the village and the winter festival approaches with a bit more excitement than usual. Seasons of war have transformed Naruto and his friends into elite young warriors, but now they grow into the adults they were meant to be, forming bonds beyond friendship. Naruto and Hinata approach this next stage with trepidation and find their progress stalled when a mysterious and dangerous man appears with a disturbing message: the end of the world is upon them. Once again Naruto and his friends are sent to investigate and stop the impossible, a falling moon! What is the tragic fate that connects this disaster with Hinata’s Hyuga Clan? And to what lengths will Naruto go to speak the words that will change his life? The Last is the final story of Naruto as you knew him, the hero who was once an outcast, and the first chapter of the bond that will define his future.

#3 – Aldnoah.Zero – Aniplex USA $75 (Right Stuf)

One of my personal favorite new anime of 2014 which brought Mecha Anime together with an interesting twist on Earth going to war with Mars. It also has some of the best OP and EP songs. This is one of my personal recommendations and makes it in the top 3 of our holiday gift guide.

Fifteen years have passed since the hypergate collapsed on the moon’s surface – a catastrophe known as the Heaven’s Fall. The war between Earth and the VERS Empire of Mars is now in a cease-fire.

The VERS’ Princess Asseylum Vers Allusia descends upon Earth as an ambassador hoping to encourage reconciliation while some citizens are not willing to compromise. Inaho Kaizuka, a Terran high school student… and Slaine Troyard, who swears his allegiance to Princess Asseylum… Their fates cross as both societies watch in horror as a missile crashes on Asseylum’s motorcade. This incident marks the beginning of a new war.

#2 – Tokyo Ghoul – FUNimation $35 (Amazon)

Horror anime is not normally my cup of tea, but Tokyo Ghoul is very unique as it flips the story to have you unsure which side you want to be on: The Ghouls or The Humans. The second season has been controversial with its departure from the source manga but none the less its a great series with great story. Caution its a gory series.

In modern day Tokyo, society lives in fear of Ghouls: mysterious creatures who look exactly like humans — yet hunger insatiably for their flesh. None of this matters to Ken Kaneki, a bookish and ordinary young man, until a dark and violent encounter turns him into the first ever Ghoul-human half breed. Trapped between two worlds, Ken must survive the violent conflicts of warring Ghoul factions, while attempting to learn more about Ghoul society, his newfound powers, and the fine line between man and monster.

#1 – Noragami – FUNimation $34 (Amazon)

There is not much to say but that this series is a must have for your collection and season 2 will blow your mind. Don’t miss this gem and join the ride with Yato God and his Regalia Yukine.

Yato may just be a minor god now, but he’s determined to make it big and he’s got a plan. Unfortunately, things just don’t seem to be going his way. He doesn’t have a single shrine dedicated to him, his partner has just quit, and now he’s got to find a new divine weapon. Just when things look bleak, he meets a girl named Hiyori and changes her life forever.
