A recent post on EP and lead actor Daniel Wu (Sunny) Facebook page suggests Into The Badlands has been renewed for a second season. This would not come as a surprise to us given the shows solid ratings, kick ass fight scenes and intriguing story line that features a diverse cast both in race and gender.
When asked AMC says nothing has been officially announced regarding a second season and that it is likely nothing will until all 6 episodes have aired.
Hello Badlanders. Just to clarify @AMC hasn't picked up @IntotheBadlands yet for season 2! We remain optimistic and will keep you posted!

With only 2 episodes left this season there are still a lot of unanswered questions in the first season including what Lydia knew of the pendant and Azra. She clearly had seen it before and like the Widow has knowledge of its origins. We still do not know why or how they both know of it. Some have speculated that MK may be Lydia’s son, but we don’t know enough about her past to really go that far.
Centuries from now, a feudal society has emerged in the wake of civilization’s destruction. This area is now called the Badlands and is uneasily divided among seven rival Barons. Each Baron enforces their iron rule with the aid of loyal armies of trained assassins known as Clippers.
