Before tomorrow’s United Kingdom premiere of the first season of Killjoys, Hannah John-Kamen answered fan questions on @SyfyUK. Did you know Hannah had a small part in The Force Awakens? And the show is just starting filming Season 2!
Q What’s the best thing about being a Killjoy?
A The best thing about being a Killjoy is kicking ass and playing with all my weapons. 🙂
Q Do you prefer to play Dutch undercover in a nice dress or Dutch suited up, kicking ass with the boys?
A Fighting in a dress and heels requires more skill! And it’s fun feeling elegant whilst kicking ass.
Q Who’s your favorite badass sci-fi heroine from screen or tv?
A Old school Princess Leia plus the similarity 2 guys and 1 girl in a team! All have laser guns. Pow!
Q How much of you were you able to put into Dutch?
A Honestly, everything I’ve got, she is tough and vulnerable at the same time.
Q How much did you know about Dutch’s mysterious past while filming?
A I know everything I can possibly know in order to play the stakes and the jeopardy of the character.
Q What would you tell Dutch if you met her?
A I would give her a huge hug, a cup of tea, tell her to put her feet up. It’s a hard life being a Killjoy.
Q What’s the hardest thing about playing Dutch?
A It’s hardcore playing Duch but the hardest part is tackling the relationship with Khlyen. It’s complicated.
Q What would be your choice weapon if an apocalypse actually happened?
A Dutch’s side arm – it has lasers, bullets and everything. Plus Dutch’s spider bomb necklace.
Q What can you say about the challenges Dutch will be facing in the next season? (You’re awesome, but the way)
A Thank you :)! More challenges along the way! More questions to be answered, more action, more everything!
Q How much fun did you have doing The Force Awakens?
A Soooo much fun filming and traveling from one universe to another.
