GAME OF THRONES Season 6 kicks off its ten-episode sixth season SUNDAY, APRIL 24 (9:00-10:00 p.m.). Based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, this Emmy® Award-winning series chronicles an epic struggle for power in the vast and violent continent of Westeros, where summers and winters can last years. Among the returning members of the ensemble cast are Emmy® and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Alfie Allen, Diana Rigg, Natalie Dormer, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, John Bradley, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Conleth Hill, Jonathan Pryce and Gwendoline Christie. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss created the series and serve as executive producers.
As previously released need, the series is venturing into uncharted territory, meaning even book readers don’t know whats going to happen. That led to AMC announcing that no advanced screeners would be sent to press (yes that includes us) to review the new episodes. The secrecy around the new season has never been more important. One of the big reasons is whether Jon Snow is alive or dead.
