Outlander: Duncan LaCroix “Murtaghs” Through Twitter Q&A!

So we get nothing for weeks, and today we got a double surprise! First Richard Kahan chatted with fans on Twitter, then tonight, Duncan LaCroix took to the Twitter-waves, and channeled taciturn Murtagh in his short but complete answers! Here’s that conversation:

Q Do you still have long hair and a beard?
A No.

Q Hair long or short? Beard or no beard?
A Short bit of stubble… was trying to post a pic but I’m too technically bad… I’m on it

Q What projects are in your future?
A One I’m excited in by can’t say

Q What has been so far the most difficult scene to shoot?
A When Murtagh knew that Claire was from the future

Q What can we see you in over here in the USA? Missing you!
A Not much, I’m working on it

Q How’s your gym time working out?
A I’m nowhere near as disciplined as Sam so when I choose it. Plus I’m getting too old for this shit. xx

Q Nah, working out keeps you young, or acting like a kid. My hubs is just as horny as when a teenager, does that count?
A Hahaha of course it counts, don’t think we’ll ever be as horny as a teenager again though thank god…nothing would be done.

Q Can you give 3 words about your experience while filming first two episodes of OL S3? No spoilers, just 3 words.
A Sad, poignant, connection

A I’m not Scots unfortunately, but I’d say keeping it f*ucking real.

A Me.

Q When Ali died, you told me what you read about him inspired you to want to be a better person… is that why you’re living healthier?
A I try. Just getting older and always take inspiration from the bravest of souls and he was one of the bravest.

A Probably his sense of humor and I’ve been around the block a few times.

A My or yours or anyone’s imagination.

A Yes.

A I’m told you can still feel the sadness much like the Somme battlefield or Gettysburg, so no…

A Cillian Murphy, Ben Mendleson, but mostly Michael Fassbender.

Q Did you read the Outlander novels or just the script in preparation for the role?
A Mostly script for what I do but enjoy the novels so much.

Q Name a few people that have impacted you as a person.
A Charles Bukowski, Lemmy, Socrates.

Q Any travel adventures coming up?
A hopefully PERU!!!

Q If you would have the possibility to go through the stones, in which century would you prefer to go and why?
A The 1920s but I’d have to be rich and live in Paris.

A No, knew it was a life changer though.

A Watching lots of documentaries.

Q Haha just told 87 year old neighbor I asked you a question – she’s a big fan!

A Working with amazing actors who I was only a fan of before we started… the worst, wind and rain but nothing bad really.
