Interview with Sanctuary’s Amanda Tapping (Helen Magnus)

Today we had the pleasure of talking with Amanda Tapping about the upcoming season premiere of Sanctuary, her Charity work and some behind the scenes information on how Sanctuary is shot.

On top of the work Amanda does both in front of the camera and behind it, she is also into charity work. Here is some information on the two charities we spoke about, Sanctuary for kids and Once Upon A Cure.

Sanctuary For Kids

Imagine a day when… Every child, in every village, in every town, in every hamlet, in every city, in the world, is safe, cared for and protected.

Sanctuary for Kids (S4K) is a not for profit foundation that serves to provide sanctuary for children who do not live with the right of safety in their lives.

As part of Amanda’s, Jill’s and Damian’s efforts, they cover all adminstration costs which means 100% of all donations goes directly to the charity to help the kids.

Once Upon A Cure

Once upon a cure is a charity dedicated to helping fund research into Hunter Syndrome.

This effects the bodies ability to break down sugar and results in a life span of 15 years or less. Reasearch is limited due to the fact that so few get this disorder. Any help we can offer is in great need.
