The (top) secret small town hidden away in the forest with its band of genius minds, protected by a normal cop who has fallen in love with the former head of the military research division that runs the towns research efforts. Its a concept show that hasn’t been matched yet on TV and this April it comes to its final season, before being cancelled. Syfy reported its best viewership ratings in years, lead in part by Eureka, yet it still cancelled the show in favor of more non-scripted reality TV, diluting the channels SciFi roots.
Airing April 16th on SyFy, the final season of Euerka airs and their biggest challenges are yet to come. We left off with the Astreus launch and the ship getting a mind of its own to launch despite being told to stop and Allison was on board without being properly secured in the ship. Here is a brief look at how we ended last season.
With everyone secured from the FTL jump, Allison performs the final security measures and prepares to leave the ship. But something has gone wrong: the ship begins to launch with Allison still aboard. Carter desperately attempts to stall the Astreus by breaking all of its cooling tubes, but its launch procedure continues – someone is controlling the ship from outside Eureka! Allison is trapped on the craft, and she’ll only survive if she can make it to the jump seat before takeoff.
As the ship rumbles to a start and disappears, Carter looks on helplessly, with no way of knowing if Allison survived or not.
