“Powerful Monday’s” returns this Monday, April 16th with the final season of Eureka at 9/8c followed by Lost Girl at 10/9c on Syfy!
The final season promises to be the best in the series. We have previewed the first 3 episodes of the season and can tell you that this is by far the best season yet. We recently were part of an Q and A session with show creator Jamie Paglia and star Colin Ferguson where the new season and the favorite moments of previous seasons were discussed. When asked about their expectations for the show when they first signed on, Colin commented he couldn’t believe how great everything was going despite the writers strike and splitting up the season into shorter seasons. Jamie said this about the show.
…I think Colin’s gifts as both a dramatic actor and as a comedian, lends it for us to be able to write essentially anything. These are our cast members who can take a scene and have you in tears in one moment, and then have you laughing through your tears in the next, and that sort of magical chemistry is very rare I think, and you see a lot of shows struggle with it. And we’ve been really unbelievably blessed with the group of people that we’ve had to write for.
Eureka started during a time when science fiction shows were almost entirely space0-driven, like Battlestar, and the show brought in a new and unique approach to the genre that brought in a whole new crowd of people. We would love to share more but don’t want to spoil the season opener, but we do have a small preview for you direct from Syfy, enjoy.
In our Eureka sneak peek, we see Allison and the frantic crew trying to regain control of their pummeling ship from their mission to Astraeus. Tune in to the final series to see if the crew can manage to land the ship safely.[nggallery id=41]
