All will be revealed soon. Or at least that’s what we’ve been promised/teased/led to believe. I have no doubt there will be startling revelations in the Doctor Who season seven finale The Name of the Doctor, but exactly what they will be remains largely a mystery.
While we’ve been given a larger number of images for this episode over previous ones, there have been remarkably few peeks into just what’s going to happen. I believe the following video is the only sneak peek released for the finale and while it’s a welcome sight, it’s also frustratingly short.
Clara, the impossible girl, receives a mysterious message from Madame Vastra.
See what I mean? That video is really a tease and not much more, but that’s fine. None of us really want the season to be over so waiting for the full episode should make it more satisfying.
Did you notice the text at the upper-right of the envelope? I’ve got a close-up shot of the envelope below and it says, “By hand – April Tenth Twenty Thousand & Thirteen.” There’s no return address, only Clara’s address on the front with the delivery instructions. The back simply says, “Open When Alone.”
Things must really be getting serious for Commander Strax to send a second field report to Sontar in less than a week. His excitement at the anticipation of mayhem is obvious, but that’s really nothing new for a Sontaran, especially Strax. In this case his excitement is bordering on fun. I didn’t think Sontarans knew how to have fun. I guess living on Earth is having a positive effect on our favorite potato headed battle nurse.
