Tom Mason
Noah Wyle
A former history professor from Cambridge, Mass., Tom Mason has put his extensive knowledge of military tactics to use by being a natural leader to the resistance since the attack. Adjusting to life off the road for the past seven months, the 2nd Mass has found a new home in Charleston and Tom has been appointed President of this flourishing community. As President, Tom is learning how to balance his growing family, his desire to fight and now his political responsibilities.
Anne Glass
Moon Bloodgood
Anne Glass is a former pediatrician who pours herself into her work. Since settling in Charleston, Anne continues to serve the 2nd Mass as combat doctor and maternal figure to Tom’s sons Hal, Ben and Matt. Together with Lourdes, she runs the medical unit there. Now seven months pregnant with Tom’s baby, the long hours are tiring for Anne but her biggest challenge awaits her once the baby is born.
Weaver
Will Patton
Weaver is a tough rattlesnake of a soldier with a no-nonsense attitude. He has little patience for babysitting civilians. Newly promoted to Colonel of the 2nd Mass, Weaver puts his military skills and experience to good use while maintaining his close relationship to Tom. With the return of his daughter, Jeanne, he has found new purpose and works hard on rebuilding their relationship.
Hal
Drew Roy
Tom’s oldest son, Hal, has made his father proud by growing quickly into manhood after the invasion. Although Hal can be impulsive under fire, he proves himself both brave and confident in the field. His romance with Maggie continues to grow but all of his relationships will be tested as he struggles with an invasive evil.
Ben
Connor Jessup
Tom’s middle son, Ben, was rescued from the skitters and had his harness successfully removed. He quickly became a strong, fast and independent fighter and continues to be a leading fighter in the 2nd Mass. Joined by other formerly harnessed kids, he has formed an elite unit to fight against the enemy but there are times that he still struggles with his identity.
Matt
Maxim Knight
Tom’s youngest son, Matt, has been forced by circumstances to face the kind of loss and upheaval no child should ever have to face and has grown up quickly because of it. Desperately wanting a greater role in the resistance, Matt is now fighting on the front lines with his brothers.
Lourdes
Seychelle Gabriel
Lourdes is a former college student whose pre-med education was cut short by the alien invasion. Working alongside Anne at the medical unit in Charleston, Lourdes has quickly risen up the ranks to become a doctor.
Anthony
Mpho Koaho
Anthony is one of the best fighters in the 2nd Mass. He is a crack shot with a rifle and always eager to volunteer for even the most dangerous missions. Anthony was seriously wounded in the failed attack on the alien structure in Boston. He now feels indebted to Pope for saving him, despite his intense dislike for the rebel leader.
John Pope
Colin Cunningham
Pope is the unpredictable troublemaker of the 2nd Mass. He is now the leader of a ragtag group of fighters called the Berserkers. Not feeling completely at home in Charleston, Pope has created his own home on the outskirts of the city in an area known as Popetown. Only time will tell where his loyalties lie as the fight against the enemy continues to escalate.
Maggie
Sarah Carter
Maggie is an invaluable member of the 2nd Mass who fights bravely on the front lines against the aliens. Her romance with Hal has rejuvenated her fight against the enemy. But her love for him gets in the way of her better judgment at times. Loyal to the end, Maggie will always protect those she loves.
