If you’re not at Comic-Con getting the scoop straight from the horses’ mouths, then you’re probably scouring the web for all the goodies pouring out from the famous Global Gathering of Geekdom.  If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead (And seriously, if you’ve seen it how can you not be a fan?) then in my best Professor Farnsworth voice I proclaim, “Good news, everyone!” because I’m absolutely thrilled to bring you this extended season 4 trailer.

Clocking in at a generous 4 1/2 minutes, the video shows us a lot of new faces, many of which will probably be eaten for our entertainment, and for that we thank those faces.  We also see a lot of new places, so fear not the claustrophobic confines of the prison for the gods of Walkerdom have deemed we shall be granted many bloody vistas outside those concrete and steel walls.

I swear they even break into a Buy More at one point.  I’d totally wet myself if we saw an undead Jeffster playing some 80s cover piece in an off-key and off-kilter performance.

But enough of my fanboy slobbering, let’s get on with the show!

Well, what’d you think?  The trailer certainly makes it seem like there’s going to be a lot more action and a lot more walkers in season 4.  The prison walls are beginning to look like some sort of Woodstock for the undead with every biter in sight swarming the place.

One thing that was obvious by its absence was any look at the Governor.  At least I don’t recall seeing him in any of the scenes.  You’d think after the huge part he played in season 3 there would at least be a glimpse of him.  Not that I’m complaining, mind you.  Just pointing out something I found odd.

The Walking Dead returns Sunday, October 13 at 9/8c only on AMC.  So be there or be eaten.
