Okay, so this indie short isn’t exactly new. It came out in 2010 and has made its rounds to various film festivals, winning awards and commendations for the work and if you follow me on any form of social media, then you’ve noticed I like to share this one…a lot. It is by far one of my favorite stop motion animation shorts, so I’ve decided to finally post something about it!
“Out Of A Forest” was created by the bachelor class of 2010 from The Animation Workshop (an animation institution in Denmark). Filmed on location in the forests surrounding Viborg, Denmark and using greenscreen, “Out Of A Forest” is a stop motion animation created for film festivals and follows a young bunny who goes to a birthday party with his elders. As they reminisce over photographs and dinner, a wolf comes to interrupt the party and puts everything into disarray. It is set to the song “Slow Show” by The National (a great song in its own rights), which really just seems to fit the ambience of the video. “Out Of A Forest” is both cute and sad at the same time and one I definitely think you should take the time to watch, so hit play and enjoy!
