Congrats Almost Humanites! We had a strong showing for the series premiere! It seems all that guerrilla marketing and promoting paid off! Even with the two week delay from the original date, confusing many a viewer, and making many a print magazine ‘wrong’ with their information, we still tuned in and talked about it! As said in my premiere review, for being a pilot, it was a strong and solid one. Not bad considering it’s been tinkered and parts re-shot over and over again since May. So how well did we do?
As the Fox Release states (emphases mine):
With the strong premiere of new drama ALMOST HUMAN and the launch of the network’s new Friday night lineup, FOX ranked No. 2 for the week among Adults 18-49. On Sunday, the series debut of ALMOST HUMAN (3.1/8) was the night’s highest-rated broadcast entertainment program among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, and Teens and marked the fourth highest-rated broadcast drama debut of the season behind Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (4.7/14), Blacklist (3.8/10) and SLEEPY HOLLOW (3.5/9).
Not too shabby considering we debuted off our regular time-slot and didn’t have quite the following as a Marvel show. For a better breakdown of just how well Almost Human bumped up FOX’s ratings last week:
- 3 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-49:Â ALMOST HUMAN (No. 6), SLEEPY HOLLOW (No. 13) and FAMILY GUY (No. 20).
- 6 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-34: ALMOST HUMAN (No. 6), FAMILY GUY (No. 8), NEW GIRL (No. 12), THE SIMPSONS (No. 14), SLEEPY HOLLOW (No. 17) and BONES-Mon (No. 20).
- 6 of the Top 20 programs among Teens:Â ALMOST HUMAN (No. 4), FAMILY GUY (No. 7), GLEE (No. 14 tie), THE SIMPSONS (No. 14 tie), THE X
Let’s keep it strong, people, keep talking about the show and tuning in so that we can keep a great pairing of Sci-Fi Mondays with Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow!
