With a big, old Whosapalooza like the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, The Day of the Doctor you really want to trot out your big name stars to promote it, right? Well, the BBC has spared no expense and recruited the services of none other than tenth Doctor David Tennant to give you a proper introduction to the huge and extravagant special episode. I mean, they had him on hand to be a part of it, so might as well use the talent while you’ve got it.
With his tongue planted firmly in his Gallifreyan cheek, Ten shows us just what to expect on November 23. I think there may have been some budget cuts.
I wonder who (ahem) came up with this slightly off-kilter idea? It’s pretty funny, especially since Tennant plays it straight the entire time. It sort of looks like something they did on a whim, but I’m absolutely fine with that.
By the way, I’m all for practical effects whenever possible, but I draw the line at dead rats.
The Day of the Doctor airs November 23rd and don’t forget to #SaveTheDay!
