Remember back in The Bells of Saint John when the Doctor made some disparaging remarks about Twitter and social media in general?  Well, it turns out you can teach an old Time Lord new tricks as it seems he’s changed his tune.

In this video, the Doctor declares his love of hashtags, particularly #SaveTheDay, and lists several examples of the use of the handy little postscripts including one involving kittens and a chicken.

The Doctor likes a hashtag. Conversations across the Universe all held together by tiny little pins of chattery topics. Show your support for the Doctor by adding the hashtag #SaveTheDay to a Twitter, Facebook or Instagram post to build the new digital TARDIS and help to unlock sneak peeks from the 50th Anniversary episode, The Day of the Doctor.

Remember, Kids: When talking about Doctor Who on Twitter use the hashtags #SaveTheDay, #dayofthedoctor, and #DoctorWho50th to keep it trending!

Doctor Who returns November 23rd and don’t forget to #SaveTheDay!

His earliest memories of enjoying scifi were sitting with his dad watching first-run episodes of the original Star Trek. Although a fan of nearly all forms of scripted television, Tom’s preferences skew heavily toward hard science fiction.
