Man? Computer? Both – Intelligence Premieres Tuesday

Like 95% of the females who watched Lost, I LOVE Josh Holloway. And I loved the show Chuck, about a nerd who became a superspy when he became the “Intersect”, housing all the US’s secret info inside his brain. This week, we get to see the combination of these two in Intelligence, CBS’ new action drama, premiering Tuesday night at 8 pm central/9 pm eastern.

I’m really excited to see the pilot for this show! I can certainly see him as an action hero, and the premise is intriguing. On one video, Holloway said that this is about human enhancement, which is “not as far away as you might think.” It’s a fascinating and scary idea, one that’s not original for TV (think Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, and of course, Chuck), but combine it with a star who should be able to make it believable, and CBS may have an intriguing and exciting show.

This video is from TV Guide’s photo shoot with Holloway for their recent cover.

Holloway is Gabriel Vaughn, a “warrior and patriot,” veteran of the US military, a man searching for his wife who disappeared after going undercover for the US. CBS says that Josh Holloway is “100% an action star,” and Holloway himself says that this is the role he’s been training for all his career, having had martial arts and weapons training, but never having had the chance to use it. The chip that is implanted in his brain enhances only his brain power, not his physical abilities. Holloway stars with Marg Helgenberger and Meghan Ory as agents of the US Cyber Command.
