As hundreds of die-hard Outlander fans gather in Los Angeles for tomorrow’s fan event, the show was previewed for the Television Critics Assocation today (along with many other shows, including STARZ’ Black Pirates). While it’s highly unlikely that any video from today’s private event will be shown, several critics, including those from Entertainment Weekly and TV Guide, and publicists tweeted photos and comments throughout. I’ve gathered several here for viewing. Where possible, I’ve tried to include a screen shot of the original tweet to give proper credit.
Here’s the Access Hollywood interview, which was just put up:
And the second part also from Access Hollywood:
Highlights included the quote of the day from Diana; several great shots of Sam and Caitriona together (how can anyone NOT be convinced by now!); shots of Ron Moore in his custom (wife)-made tartan vest and kilt! Entertainment Weekly put together an online article about the event, which included some info about the opening scene of the series, which you can see here (the article, not the scene). While not confirmed, it’s likely that EW was the source of a photo you may have scene from the Lallybroch flogging scene; they said that they had put a photo up and then swapped it out for the pic you see on this link, and that whipping scene may have been the deleted photo.
Don’t forget the Twitter party to get Outlander trending (like it did today!) from 8-10 am Pacific/10 am-12 pm Central/11 am-1 pm Eastern. Use the hashtag #OutlanderInvadesLA. If you want more info, check out Outlander Ambassador’s Guide to the Twitter Party here.
If I come across anything that should be added to this post, I’ll do that rather than put up a new post; I’ll try to tweet (@ErinConrad2)/post on the FB fan groups if I do add anything.
