This episode was especially emotionally-wrenching. There were tears – and I do not like crying.
WOE. Poor Antonio, poor Nick… poor Pack. It was bad enough to lose Pete, but Antonio was more than just a Pack member – he was Nick’s father, Jeremy’s best friend and the only other full adult Pack member, a father figure of sorts to Elena and Clay, and the Pack’s ‘fixer.’ His loss leaves a much bigger hole to fill. I do wonder what Antonio whispered to Nick that made him say “Thank you,” though… I hope we’ll find out.
Then the same attack results in Jeremy’s injury, which turns out to be worse than just a knife wound. It seems like poison, but what kind – and can they find out in time to save him? Hospitals obviously aren’t a good idea for werewolves…
Elena is letting herself go more ‘wolf’ now that Antonio’s been killed, too. She doesn’t want to show any mercy, and although she asks about Clay and his phone call to her, she doesn’t seem very concerned about his feelings – just his ability to deal with the Mutts with brute force. But then, she finally talks to Phillip and again, makes apologies for her bizarre behavior – Phillip is either completely crazy or the most understanding, forgiving guy on the entire planet, am I right?? – and basically asks him to wait for her as she gets through this. More and more, she seems to want her life both ways – werewolf and human – and it’s just not going to work.
Speaking of Phillip, this weird vodka campaign using the wolf footage keeps getting more bizarre. So Phillip’s ex happens to be some kind of internet security wiz and gets through all kinds of security to track down the owner of the video footage of the wolves. First – she’s blonde and hot, so Phillip’s got a type for sure, and second – does anyone believe that the guy they tracked down is actually the guy who shot that video? I’m not buying it, and there’s still a lot more going on here than is obvious. Could this all be connected to the Mutts somehow?
Logan… I get that he’s now even more concerned about Rachel, but to NOT go to Stonehaven after Antonio’s been killed? Unbelievable. Yes, Santos knows about Rachel and there’s a risk, but the Pack needs him more right now. And it should be obvious to everyone why he wants the baby to be a girl so badly… which likely means that it’ll be a boy, because chances of things working out well just aren’t high.
Next week’s episode is going to be another interesting one…
