This week’s S.H.I.E.L.D. was everything I wanted from a Marvel show. It brought in one of my personal favorites, Lady Sif, from Thor. This week a former prisoner who escaped during the events of Thor: The Dark World. The prisoner, Lorelai, has the ability to command men through a weakness they all share, can I get an amen, and uses them to take over countries and worlds. Sif is charged with bringing her back to Asgard.

Lorelai enchants a group of bikers and when the team comes to get her, but instead of capturing her she enchants Ward, and he takes her to a place fit for a queen aka Las Vegas. Grant decides the best course of action is to take the fight to them. Lorelai enchants Fitz and he traps Simmons and Skye in her medical room, and lock Sif in a cell.

Best part of the whole episode was Lady Sif and Lorelai face off. It’s not very often that you get to see gods fight, and they were great. I love Sif even more now that she proved you can be a female warrior and still have heart and compassion. The worst part of the episode was any part with May. She is a great fighter but she all sharp edges with a heart of ice.

Coulson also made the decision to tell Skye what it was that saved her. While Coulson struggles with this knowledge, Skye is just grateful to be alive and to have Coulson to go through this with. They decide that together they will uncover the secret behind the Guest House and the miracle cure. They decide to start with Ian Quinn, the man who shot Skye.

As much as I enjoy the intrigue of conspiracy within S.H.I.E.L.D.  episode, I want more stories like this, bringing in characters, and truly dealing with marvelous problems. It has so much potential and I can’t wait for the rest of the season.

Next week is a special into the world of Marvel, so tune in for a special feature and a sneak peek into Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
