A small gaming company called Forward For is working on a game called “Inochi Project”. I got to watch a pretty neat video outlining what the game is about and it appears to have a good bit of potential. The footage was from a very early build but, from what I saw it looked pretty innovative.
The game focuses a good bit on you own “Ani-Mech” Robot. The robots are relatively simple in design but can be customized with different parts, shapes, and colors. The game had a very cute charm that reminded me of a cross between LittleBigPlanet and Neopets. The Inochi Project offers nigh unlimited potential with the promise of user generated content. You can collect all sorts of different parts for your Ani-Mech, battle them against other players, and much more in the future. Forward For is working hard to make the game family friendly but, still retain a wide appeal to all audiences.
The game is being developed on the Unity Engine which means that it could come to major consoles in the future.
