Tonight’s episode is over and I sit here with my mouth agape trying to figure out what I am going to say in this review. It is the 2nd to last episode of the season and through most of it I felt anxiety paired with indifference until the end when I was just shocked. So I am going to start of telling you, my readers, that this review is going to be shorter than most and less detailed as I feel you all need to watch the episode.
I am not liking what the Mark of Cain is doing to my boy Dean. Yeah he is normally conflicted and saucy but now he is just down right angry and mean. Frankly, not what I find attractive in my lead guy, but also I am intrigued to see how it all plays out with Metatron next week.
So let me reel it back to this week though. We are lead to believe that Castiel has a leg up on Metatron has his army is bigger and more loyal, but when some of his “followers” begin to blow themselves up, Â killing humans when they do, in his name things begin to go to hell.
One of his recruits is an old face, Tessa the Reaper, and Dean manages to stop her before she blows up a theater of humans. She preaches that Cas recruited her and that she is doing what needs to be done to get back home and in the end humans don’t matter. When Dean tries to threaten her with the First Blade she throws herself on it in self-sacrifice.
Well we learn that Tessa and her band of angel bombs really worked for Metraton who turned them into double agents. When Gadreel finds out about he finally allows what Cas told him sink in and he goes to the bunker to ask the Winchesters and Cas to allow him to help them when…..nope I can’t do it to you. If you haven’t watched yet go watch it now. If you have then feel free to leave a comment about what you thought about Dean’s actions.
So those of you that have watched the show tonight see that I am leaving a lot out of this review, but I just can’t even find the words to talk about it. However I can tell you that even though I felt a tad bit indifferent in the beginning I ended up enjoying this episode and I am excited to see how the season finale will pan out. Although I will be sad for the Season finale for many reasons I can’t wait to see how it plays out.
