Domionion - Season 1

Dominion: Talking with Tom Wisdom & Roxanne McKee, Part 1 & Episode 3 Preview

This morning, Dominion stars Tom Wisdom and Roxanne McKee talked with writers and bloggers about the show, and told us that secrets and revelations about the characters will be coming.

Will we see more of a backstory on Michael or his private side as we move forward?

Tom Wisdom: Vaun’s (Wilmott) done a great job.Yes, things will be revealed on Michael’s past – it’s a long past. There are some quite surprising things that come out. There will be a few shocks, I think.

Domionion - Season 1

Roxanne McKee: Claire goes through a huge growth process mentally, we get to see her change from young girl full of innocence and hope, to a young woman full of strength and tenacity. This is an amazing character for me to play, a very realistic character. There’s a lot in store for Claire. Like Tom said, quite shocking stuff as well. People wil be surprised in the changes from episode 1, a girl who is tearful and just wanting to live with love of her life, but by end of the series, you’ll see quite a striking difference. Interesting thing about the series, all characters go through big changes, natural changes. Some have secrets that are quite shocking. But it’s not about secrets, it’s more about growth process. Claire is the only one who is really good, who has goodness inside of her.

On romantic relationships:

Tom: Michael has an odd relationship with Becca Thorne. He’s quite partial to human women, but very afraid to have a child. The child would be a nephilim – half human half angel (GotQuestions.com provides this information:The Nephilim (“fallen ones, giants”) were the offspring of sexual relationships between the sons of God and daughters of men in Genesis 6.1-4. There is much debate as to the identity of the “sons of God.” It is our contention that the “sons of God” were fallen angels (demons) who mated with human females and/or possessed human males and then mated with human females. These unions resulted in offspring, the Nephilim, that were “heroes of old, men of renown.”) This is his worst fear.

Roxanne: Michael’s a player.

Tom: He just wants to feel something.

Domionion - Season 1

Does William Whele really love Claire? Does Claire believe he loves her?

Roxanne: Claire hasn’t thought about whether he’s really in love, they have a connection, and a strong friendship. They’ve grown up together, she admires him and sees him as a man of the cloth, someone who has faith and is good. She cares about him, he’s the opposite of his father. With his warmth towards her, she believes he truly cares for her. I don’t think she has any reason to question that because of the way he’s always behaved towards her, but it’s that feeling when you don’t feel the same way, you don’t want to hurt him. She doesn’t want to lead him on. From her point of view, it’s obviously more of a political move. She’s honest with him from the start. I think he thinks he’ll be able to bring her around because they have this fantastic friendship.

More from this discussion later this week!

Alex faces a deadly angel as he explores his past outside of Vega; David and Arika hatch new schemes; and Claire is forced to choose between love and duty.
