The Peter Capaldi era of Doctor Who won’t begin for most of us until August 23, but lucky fans who are attending one of the stops on the Doctor Who World Tour will get a chance to see the first episode of series 8 a bit earlier than that. The first screening of the feature-length episode entitled Deep Breath will be held in Cardiff, where the show is primarily filmed, on August 7 – over two weeks before the rest of the world gets to see it.
Rumor has it that this episode will take place mainly in Victorian London picking up where the Christmas Special left off. Naturally, we’ll see the Paternoster Gang figure prominently in the episode which, thus far, has always been a good sign. Besides, having a bunch of familiar faces around when the Doctor has just gotten a new one will help ease the transition a bit.
