Intruders at SDCC 2014: John Simm Dishes Comics & the Dark Side

John Simm (Life On Mars, Doctor Who) sat down with press to discuss his character on Intruders.  He gives us an overview of how his character Jack Whelan, a retired LAPD cop, gets thrust into the middle of this paranormal conspiracy.  Like the others, he also stated the house they filmed in was perfectly creepy for the show and how we all have a dark entity inside of us.

We learned that Simm is a fan of Star Wars, at least the original trilogy, Star Trek and many more genre shows and while he’s not necessarily drawn to genre roles they seem drawn to him.  While we were on the subject of genre shows he described Intruders as a cross between Highlander, The X-Files, and Salem’s Lot.  That sounds like a winning combination in my book.

Intruders premieres Saturday, August 23 at 10/9c right after the series eight premiere ofDoctor Who on BBC America
