The Doctor Who World Tour Launches At Home – In Cardiff, Not Gallifrey

In the most wonderfully appropriate move (or “not move”) possible, the Doctor Who World Tour launched by making its first stop right at home in Cardiff, Wales, where the show is filmed.  This first leg of a seven city global tour which spans five continents in only twelve days saw throngs of fans turn up for the spectacle.  They were treated to the sight of Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, Steven Moffat, and newcomer Samuel Anderson (Danny Pink).  Naturally, the event wouldn’t be complete without some Cybermen and Daleks to keep all those fleshy humans in line.  The Doctor has had numerous companions throughout the centuries, but his one constant companion, the TARDIS, was there.  As if there were any doubt.

These guys know how to work a crowd and show their appreciation for the fans.  Peter, Jenna, Steven Moffat, and Samuel Anderson all took time to sign autographs and chat with fans as they strolled the red carpet that led to the premiere screening of the feature-length episode Deep Breath.  After the screening had finished, a question and answer session was held then the entire Doctor Who team left for stop number two: London!
