57th Expedition Beyond the Walls (Part 5)

As the Survey Corps continues its retreat, Commander Erwin and Hange discuss on how the Female Titan escaped. Erwin thinks it used the 3DMG to escape in the steam. They then come to a conclusion that the Titan must have been someone who witnessed Erin transform in Trost.
Meanwhile Eren and his squad mates try to escape their attacker, Eld says there is no time to reach the horses and they decide to reach the rest of the Survey Corps. The squad is then chased by the Female Titan yet again; Eren wants to fight the Titan but is ordered to escape while the rest of the squad takes care of the Titan. After thinking about it Eren decides to go to HQ.
Despite the Squad initially having an upper hand, Eren watches in horror as his squad mates are killed, Eren turns into a Titan and roars which Levi and Mikasa both hear and they rudh to Eren’s location. Eren now in Titan form starts to fight the Female Titan.
Eren attacks the Female Titan but the Female Titan tries to avoid his attack because her arms have not healed back yet. Eren manages to bring down the Female Titan and he starts to attack from above but it destroys his hands. The Female Titan’s injuries heal and she punches Eren in the mouth but Eren does an uppercut and sends the Female Titan flying in the air.
Eren rushes towards the Female Titan but crashes into a tree; The Female Titan then decapitates Eren with a tree and bites Eren’s body off the Titan body. Mikasa arrives to see this and she starts to attack the Female Titan in an attempt to save Eren. Mikasa is garbed by Levi and he tells her to fall back and keep at a distance.
Review
This episode was the first time Eren fought the Female Titan in Titan form, and boy what a fight It was just when you think Eren is winning the Female Titan comes back from out of nowhere and literally just destroys Eren. I laughed when Eren got eaten as It reminded me of episode 5 and I said to myself “Oh here we go again”. I was genuinely shocked when he got eaten, I just did not see that coming. With the deaths of Petra and Eld we can expect that should they rescue Eren, he will want some revenge for the teammates he lost. The real question is, did Eren make the right decision waiting to turn into titan form so long or should he have done it sooner? If the female titan used ODM gear, then who is this person? They are clearly one of their own.
