So, what’s up with the talking TARDIS sounding all GPS-ish? Perhaps it’s something the Doctor added to help increase the accuracy of his travels. He has been known to land someplace, and somewhen, other than where he intended, but half the fun of traveling in the TARDIS is opening the door to see just exactly where you are. And that navigation voice would get really old, really fast.
This sneak peek has the Doctor, and temporary travel companion Maebh, landing in the middle of Trafalgar Square, only it looks nothing like the center of a sprawling city. After watching the previous two promos and this sneak peek, something tells me Maebh could be more than just an ordinary schoolgirl. It’s just a feeling, but the way she simply accepts the forest overtaking all of London, and indeed all of Earth, strikes me as a bit odd. Then again, kids have an easier time accepting the absurd than we adults. We’re just not much fun sometimes.
