If the trailer is any indication, the title of next week’s Doctor Who episode, Flatline, is pretty darned literal. It looks like people are being “flattened” into 2-dimensional beings by some (probably) alien menace.
Whether this menace is from outer space or just from a universe void of more than 2 dimensions (like that really makes any difference) is unclear, but it’s a foe unlike any other the Doctor has faced. These are creatures trying to invade the 3rd spatial dimension and they’re dragging some of us into their flat, little world in the process.
