Hot on the heels of the 3rd Interstellar trailer posted here yesterday comes the IMAX TV spot for the movie. It’s shorter than the previous trailer by more than half, clocking in at just over 1 minute, but there are a few new shots in this one that we haven’t seen in the others. Again, nothing Earth-shattering, but fun to watch anyway.
The trailers are doing their job – they’re making me really want to go see this film.
One interesting thing we learn about the wormhole used to travel to another galaxy is there’s a time-dilation factor involved. I mean, isn’t there always? Anywho … every hour spent on the alien planet equals 7 years back on Earth. It’s kind of like dog years on steroids.
There’s more action shots in this trailer than any of the previous ones, too. The promotion of this film has slowly ramped up the action factor as the November 7 premiere date draws ever closer. As proof, how many movies do you see where people are swimming in spacesuits?
People swimming in spacesuits, people!
Oh, and Anne Hathaway is sporting a short, rough-cut-looking hairdo similar to one she had in Les Miserables. I bet there’s a lot less singing in Interstellar.
With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history; traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.
Interstellar premieres in US theaters on November 07, 2014
