Orphan Black Season 3 – The Transformation of Helena

By: Tom Gardiner March 17, 2015
TV Previews BBC America, clones, Helena, Orphan Black, season 3

It can be said that every clone on Orphan Black has undergone some form of transformation.  Of all the clones, the one who’s experienced the most changes has to be Helena.  The character started out as what seemed like nothing more than a very damaged killer, but under the care of her wombmate and sestra, Sarah, she’s slowly realizing her potential as a kind human being.  Considering her harsh upbringing, the progress she’s made thus far is pretty amazing.  She’s quickly become one of the most entertaining clones on the show, along with Alison, of course.

This video covers the changes Helena’s gone through over the course of the first 2 seasons and teases the direction the character will take in season 3.  Helena is slowly, but surely, becoming a less damaged human being as the love and support of her sisters helps her heal.  As the Beatles said, “All you need is love.”  And maybe sugar sprinkled Jell-O.
