Outlander: More Licensees Announced

While we have yet to see any products come out of the first round of Outlander licensees, a second group of companies has been announced. These two companies will produce items that fans have asked for. Knockout Licensing, the official licensing firm for Outlander, told threeifbyspace today that “Knockout has been seeking licensees that offer the kind of high-end, high-quality, beautifully crafted Outlander products that fans have been asking for since the series began airing,” said Knockout Licensing Co-President Tamra Knepfer. “We know how passionate Outlander fans are, so we are partnering with select Outlander licensees that can do the property justice.”

The two companies just announced are:

Abbyshot (abbyshot.com) has been granted rights to produce limited-edition clothing and fashion accessories inspired by styles featured in the show, including coats, scarves, hats, bags, cowls, cloaks, and more. “Our Outlander clothing and accessories will be faithfully styled after the actual costumes and props,” said owner and CEO (Creator of Exciting Opportunities) Bonnie Cook. “Now you too can feel as if you have traveled back to Cocknammon Rock at Craigh na Dun, each time you wear an officially licensed product from Abbyshot.”

Abbyshot produces replica garments and accessories from fan favorite shows Doctor Who and Firefly, at upper price points. Here are some of their current products:

The Celtic Croft (kilts-n-stuff.com) has been granted rights to produce traditional Scottish apparel and accessories – including custom-made wool kilts, tartans, shawls and tams, made from the same 100% wool tartan woven in the Outlander series. There are currently five exclusive and proprietary tartan patterns, each representing a different family or clan. Each of the Outlander tartans is officially registered with the Scottish Register of Tartans. “Fans who want an authentic Outlander kilt can rest assured that our kilts are the real deal, made from the same fabric and sourced from the same weaver as those seen on the show,” said owner Joseph Croft.

The company offers lots of Celtic items, and has a contest to win gift certificates if you sign up for their newsletter. Some of their products include:

Celtic Croft is offering the tartan items for pre-order. The five tartans are the Fraser Clan Tartan, the Mackenzie Clan Tartan, the Craig Na Dun, the Cocknammon Rock, and an unnamed pattern. They’re advertising that they will have kilts, plaids, kilted skirts, shawls and wraps, earisaids, blankets and throws, hats and ties, sashes, and scarves available. And if you subscribe to their newsletter, you’ll get a coupon for 10% off! Click here to see what they have for preorder, and to put your name on a list to get information as it becomes available. Also, for fun, they have documents to download on how to pleat, wear and care for your items – find those documents here.

As soon as we have more info, I’ll bring it to you!
