Star Wars: Trailer #2 Debuts, and OMG…

The first Star Wars movie debuted when I was in my senior year of high school. I remember sitting in the first row of the theater, completely mesmerized, and I think I saw it five times in the next three weeks. There hadn’t been anything like it before. I was already a sci fi fan, having read Lord of the Rings, lots of Asimov, and oh so much more. I was hooked.

And when the second series came out, I was a mother with two young children. Did that stop my longing for interstellar travel, my desire to fight alongside the good guys, to find out if I, too, had the seeds of the Force within me? (My 19-year-old son still opens every automatic door with a wave of his hand. I did good with that one.) No. No, it did not.

And NOW! I had my doubts when the new film was announced, and I haven’t paid as much attention as I should have, because I, like many of you, are afraid of being disappointed… but now, I don’t think so.

Just for fun, right after you watch this three or four times, run to your Twitter account and tweet #Stormtrooper, #BB8, and #C3PO (thanks so much to fellow TiBS writer Alyson Bailey!!!). You can tweet it to me, @ErinConrad2, and I’ll laugh right along with you. You may see Star Wars stuff on threeifbyspace from several writers over the next few months – I can see arguments coming over who gets to review it.
