Teaser: Childhood’s End – This December On Syfy

By: Robert Prentice April 20, 2015
TV News Childhood's End, syfy

Coming this December to Syfy, Childhood’s End is sure to excite science fiction fans from many generations. Childhood’s End has a familiar ring to it for those of us who are fans of TNT’s Falling Skies but in reverse. Rather then hiding from and rebelling against an alien force that is enslaving our children, the aliens in this novel have provided an end to war and turned earth into a near-utopia. But I think we all know better, there is always a price for perfection.

Written by Arthur C. Clarke and hailed as a revolutionary work of science fiction since its publishing in 1953, Childhood’s End follows the peaceful alien invasion of Earth by the mysterious “Overlords,” whose arrival begins decades of apparent utopia under indirect alien rule, at the cost of human identity and culture.
