Dark Matter Episode 8 Preview – A One Way Trip

Back at the end of episode 6, we knew Six would eventually try to track down the General, the leader of the Protheon Insurrection.  This is the man responsible for the destruction of a space station which killed over 10,000 innocents.  At the time, Six was a member of this group, but he believed they were fighting for the betterment of his fellow human beings, not killing innocent people to make a political statement.  Ever since he found out the General was just fine with collateral damage on such a horrible scale, Six has been planning on finding him and stopping him.  That begins now.

In the preview, we get really quick flashes of Six using a Transfer Transit system.  Actually, it says it’s “Transfer Transit 2.0”.  I wonder what the difference is from the first time we saw the advert in the doctor’s office waiting room?  Anyway, I’m guessing that using a clone is Six’s safety net.  If he gets caught or otherwise fails, his clone will be the one to get killed or simply expire after the 72 hour time limit is up.  Or maybe this 2.0 system has the ability to keep a clone alive for a longer time than before?

Speaking of expiring clones, we get a quick peek at what that process looks like, too.  At least I think that’s what we’re seeing here.  There’s a body on the ground that pretty much goes “poof” into a rust-colored dust.  It’s a strange way to watch a person, or a clone, perish, but it sure makes clean up easy.  Just vacuum up the left-over clone powder and you’re done!
