Here’s a sight you don’t see very often – the Doctor holding a gun. And it’s not just any gun, but a Dalek blaster and he looks very much like he’s ready to use it on Davros. Who could blame him?
Instead of shooting the father of the greatest evil the universe has ever seen, the Doctor orders him to get out. Since the dying Davros is in a chamber that sustains his life, making him leave would have the same result as shooting him – he would die (or, in the case of Doctor Who, he’d look like he died then come back some time later). Will the Doctor follow through or will some other resolution present itself?
Episode synopsis:
Trapped and alone in a terrifying Dalek city, the Doctor is at the heart of an evil Empire; no sonic, no TARDIS, nobody to help. With his greatest temptation before him, can the Doctor resist? And will there be mercy?
