Dr. Andrew Garner is taking his role with SHIELD a little too seriously. In case Coulson wasn’t clear, Doc, you’re supposed to evaluate Inhumans for use in the field, not evaluate whether or not they deserve to live.
In case you haven’t guessed it by now, Garner is Lash. For those of you who called that twist back when Lash dropped in word “Inhuman” in the season 3 premiere, now is you time to say ‘I told you so.’ If you’re done gloating (or bemoaning the fact that you didn’t correctly guess Lash’s identity), then lets get down to brass tacks. No Need To Lash Out
Baby von Strucker survived Garner’s attack, and although Hydra doesn’t know it, he is now the soul keeper of Lash’s big secret. While the seemingly innocent Garner recovers at SHIELD, Ward is on a manhunt for his one lose end. Von Strucker flees to the one man he thinks he can trust – Gideon Malick, an old Hydra pal of his father’s and one of the few heads Coulson failed to hack off.
As it turns out, Malick is the very man Ward has spent the last few months peacocking for. Unfortunately, Powers Boothe’s character isn’t impressed by Ward’s recent activity. He does, however, offer the Hydra Director a chance at redemption. Ward takes that about as well as you would expect.SHIELD is also hunting for von Strucker, and one botched bank robbery later, Bobbie and May have enough information to track him down. Batons crackling, the duo burst in on Kebo beating the tar out of a terrified Wernor. I’m not 100 percent sure why Hydra was torturing baby von S. Possibly because he could lead them to Malick, possibly because they’re evil henchmen and that’s just what evil henchmen do. Anyway, one intense fight scene later and the Hydra legacy is dying in May’s arms. Before he goes, however, he reveals her ex’s new monstrous secret.
Talk about your deathbed confessions.Daisy Steals, Coulson Flirts
Coulson and Roslline are circling each other, and it’s difficult to tell whether they’re sizing each other up or participating in some sort of mating ritual. Whatever the case, SHIELD’s head honcho and the ATCU’s unflappable leader have come to a grudging agreement – Coulson can see exactly what the fellow alphabet soup agency is doing with their half of the Inhuman.
Not before they make a pit stop at Roz’s apartment. Get you mind out of the gutter; they’re just there to deal with a little break in. Nothing was stolen, however, and Coulson’s more than a little convinced that this is merely a smoke screen to divert his attention and garner a little sympathy. When they do get to the ATCU’s containment facility, they have a visitor in the form of Daisy and one of Fitz’s new invisible drones. What they see leaves them both a little uneasy. Instead of training the Inhumans, Rosalind’s team is putting them in stasis while they search for a cure.
Over all, “Among Us Hide…” proves that SHIELD will never be immune to their own secrets – or traitors.
