This week is the winter finale for “Supergirl.” The holiday season is here and if you feel like your family drives you crazy, wait until you see what Supergirl has to put up with! Last week ended with Aunt Astra (Laura Benanti) and her merry band of goons knocking Kara (Melissa Benoist) out of the sky. To what purpose? Previews reveal that Astra has rallied her forces and is ready for all out war against humanity. New to the show will be the evil villain Non (Chris Vance) from the Superman universe who appears to be on Team Astra. Coordinated city wide attacks will strain the resources of the DEO while Kara and Astra fight for ultimate supremacy.
Meanwhile, back at the CatCo offices, an unknown hacker has attacked Cat Grant’s (Calista Flockhart) private emails. Competing news agencies have released her real age, the fact that she has three personal shoppers at Barney’s and that she asked out Idris Elba on a date . . . and he said no. Talk about embarrassment! Who is behind this sordid scheme? Is this a hostile takeover by a rival or just a nasty villain trying to cause trouble? And what’s up with the corporate attorneys who don’t seem eager to protect their boss?!
Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan Tatum) and Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli) are both back this week for this winter finale and I don’t doubt that Maxwell is up to something fishy. Yikes, it’s a mess on “Supergirl” this week but I can’t wait to watch!
