The announcement came at the the TV Critics Association annual press event #TCA16. We also learned that the highly acclaimed series, will be split into 2 parts. The first 7 episodes will air on AMC, starting Sunday, April 10th. The second and final 8 episode will follow later in 2016. The Talking Dead follows each episode of companion series, The Walking Dead, giving insight to what happened in each episode. It is hosted by Chris Hardwick, who is also a mega fan of the series. It’s also the same night and time that Game of Thrones series airs on HBO – that show returns on April 24. So get your DVRs ready.

Fear The Walking Dead, debuted as the highest rated, first season of any series on cable in 2015. It is considered the companion series to The Walking Dead, giving us an insight to the what, who, where and why, of the zombie outbreak. In season 1, we witnessed the outbreak and saw our main group of characters, a family, pulling together. In the second season, we will watch as their fight for survival continues, as they take to the water for safety. The series is set at a time right before Rick Grimes, our leader from The Walking Dead, is in a coma in Atlanta.
I am excited for the second season. I hope it stays true to the excellent storylines, that have made The Walking Dead, a fan favorite! For more news, check out my earlier post about The Walking Dead here.
