LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens – A Blockbuster Game Promo

Anticipating the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was pretty intense for fans, but definitely worth the wait.  These days, you know you’ve made it when you’re given the LEGO treatment.  And that’s exactly what the latest installment in the Star Wars saga is getting, but you’ll have to wait until June 28, 2016 to get your filthy Rebel mitts on a copy of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Bummer, right?  Well, yes and no.  The wait might be lengthy, but there’s plenty of joy in the hilariously goofy trailer for the game, which has me believing it will be better than the film itself.  Sure, the film was a lot of fun, with BB-8 being the cute, comic relief, but in the game you can be BB-8!  Not into cute droids?  Then choose to be Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewie, C-3PO, Kylo Ren … basically, you can be almost anybody that appeared in the film.

And this is a lot more than building things and solving puzzles – you can have X-Wing dogfights in space!  IN SPACE!!  Think you can shoot down TIE fighters and defeat Stormtroopers with ease?  The developers are promising a lot more intelligence in the AI, so don’t expect these troopers to miss quite as much or to go down without a fight.

Okay, so watch the trailer and when you’re done wiping away the tears of laughter and the drool of desire, check out the entire press release about the game.  If you’re any kind of Star Wars fan, you will be so very sold on this game.
