Yes, you read that right, Pottermore will be releasing four new pieces of writing from J.K. Rowling this week! With Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them set to hit theaters later this year, new writing will be published in preparation for the film’s release in November and this week will bring us Magic in North America. This part of the story will fill us in on areas of the wizarding world in North America heretofore left to our imaginations.
While we’ve already gotten the name of the North American wizarding school, Ilvermorny, we’ve yet to get any details about the school and the wizards inhabiting this world. Magic in North America is sure to fill us in on all sorts of fun stuff, even if it is just a small taste and will consist of four installments. The first installment, History of Magic in North America, is set to release on Pottermore Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2 PM GMT (9/8 AM CST), with the rest of the installments to follow at 2 PM GMT (9/8 AM CST) every day until Friday, March 11.
That’s four days of new writing to look forward to this week!
Try not to squee too loudly as you head over to Pottermore tomorrow to read the first installment and remember to check back here for more news of the wizarding world as we get it!
