My Hero Academia English Cast Announcement

By: Robert Prentice
Funimation My Hero Academia

By now you have no doubt watched My Hero Academia or at least picked up the manga. If you haven’t, you really should. Many have compared it as the new generations Naruto or One Piece but I don’t think its either of those, and for an anime and manga like this, thats a good thing. If you don’t know what this show is about, check out the preview video below, if you do, just after the video we have the english voice cast announcement from Funimation!

Starting this Wednesday My Hero Academia will be part of the #DubbleTalk line up at Funimation with weekly recaps from the crew at Funimation and Screwattack. Without wasting your time any further here is the first group of english cast (with more to come after wednesdays episode):

JustinHeadshot-1024x682Justin Briner is thrilled to join the cast of My Hero Academia! Born and raised in Maryland, he is currently a Dallas-based actor and singer. Most recently, he can be heard as Qwenthur in Heavy Object, Mikaela in Seraph of the End, and Alfonso in GARO The Animation. After having just watched GARO myself and enjoying Seraph Of The End, I can tell you that Justin Briner has the ability to sound like the whiney Mikaela while also being the strong confident type with Alfonso, so I feel he has the ability to fit the role of Deku.
