It’s now less than 4 weeks until the season 2 premiere of Dark Matter and I think I speak for every fan when I say we’re getting pretty damned excited. The wait to find out just what the heck is going on with the crew has been long, but it’ll definitely prove worthwhile. Let’s poke our heads through the wardrobe and see what’s going on in the Dark Matter universe.
Inspired by an artist who paints with boxing gloves, Joe decided to let Bubba have a go. Subbing for standard-issue boxing gloves were a pair of modded dog booties each sporting a circular sponge. After all that painting, Bubba was one pooped pooch.
See Android with a new look. And no, it’s not the hair-down, jacket-wearing badass we glimpsed in the trailer. There’s some really nice shots of the new regulars, Melanie Liburd (Nyx Harper) and Shaun Sipos (Devon). Joe also points us to some really cool show-related links at Syfy.com.
A while back, press outlets were invited to visit the set. Sadly, time and circumstance prevented me from being one of them, but Joe shares a lot of cool links filled with what reporters learned from their time in Toronto. There are spoilers a-plenty, so be warned!
With production complete, it was time to say goodbye to Toronto and hello to home: Vancouver. Once there, Joe’s got interviews, work on a new pilot and planning season 3 of Dark Matter. Even with so much to do, I bet finally getting back home will make everything just a little less stressful. It’s become cliché, but there really is no place like home.
The travels were mostly uneventful, but Bubba had to be that kid that’s always asking, “Are we there yet?” He made it home, though he also made it abundantly clear he didn’t enjoy the trip. Head over and you can also see some exclusive cast pix from EW and several BTS pix from Joe!
This was a special day, and not just because it’s the last day before the weekend. Today it was announced that fans will get a chance to win a copy of a Dark Matter script. And not just any script, but scripts signed by the entire cast AND annotated with Joe’s notes made during production! NOTE: This was just an announcement that a contest will be forthcoming. Details about the “how”, “where”, & “when” will be here soon, so check Joe’s blog and Three If By Space daily to stay informed! The day’s entry ended with some nice pix from Stargate: Atlantis including a diagram of a ZPM’s construction.
Today started with some really cool Stargate: Atlantis concept art focusing on the Wraith. Man, I really miss having a Stargate in my life. The day ended in dinner with Ellen Wong (Misaki Han) and her husband, pictures included along with an in-costume shot and concept art for her character’s shuttle. Ooh, today also featured the return of Joe’s “Screenshot of the Day”. This shot included a particularly weaselly character played by a man who also appeared in Atlantis. I know you can guess who that is!
