Wynonna Earp Episode 112 “House of Memories” Review

With the events of last week’s episode still hanging heavy over Wynonna Earp and her family, there is some unresolved tension that needs taken care of! In Episode 111 we saw Willa regain her memories of the past and start to get a bit possessive over the fact that she was supposed to be the sole heir. It’s her destiny and she was being extensively trained by their father to take on that role, so to have that all be taken away by some psycho and get thrown into a cult situation wouldn’t be the most exciting thing ever!

I do have to wonder why she didn’t become the heir especially since she was still alive. Maybe it’s simply because of the fact she didn’t remember that she was an Earp, therefore it just skipped to Wynonna. Maybe we’ll get an answer, maybe not! Another big event from last episode was Willa sparing Bobo Del Rey’s life, yikes! Peacemaker’s bullet still hit him in the face, but Wynonna was hoping to take him out once and for all! I wonder how much that will put a wall up between the two heirs. Another event from episode 111: our lovely Doc was knocked unconscious by a stranger while broken down (yet again) on the side of the road. Looks like running away didn’t work out too well for good ole Doc!

Yikes, Willa’s return is causing a lot of problems around the Earp household! She’s definitely bitter about Wynonna having heirship, and she seems to have taken on the “I know what’s best” role, regardless of the fact she’s been locked away for a really long time.  I’m surprised Wynonna hasn’t upfront addressed the issue with her, especially considering how straightforward of a woman she is.  Willa also is putting a wedge between Haught and Waverly, but that isn’t her fault. It’s not surprising no one understands why Haught is hanging around so much – Waverly hasn’t told anyone what’s going on between them!

I love the relationship between Dolls and Wynonna, they have such funny quips and lines that really make this show stand out from the others.  The way they interact with each other is so genuine you can tell that the two of them are just having a blast being in this together, in real life and in the show!  Discovering who may have put a hit out on Dolls’ head, the two get to work investigating the biker gang who turn out to be Revenants! During this investigating something weird happens with Peacemaker: it stops working! Uh oh!

The other side of this story-line we are starting to find out how terrible of a sister Willa actually was.  Something strange is going on between her and Bobo.  I know they’ve touched on their past relationship a little bit, just that he’d always kept an eye on her. I wonder what his master plan is.  She seems to feel protective over him too, obviously since she stopped Wynonna from killing him in the past episode.  We also discover she has a tie to Constance, the witch! At the end of the episode she starts to become a bit aloof, but we soon find out that it’s because she and Bobo have a relationship!

Bobo’s goons are usually on the creepy side, but this drug-maker Bubba guy is something else. Doc is stuck with this scary dude, but his sweet-talking actually got himself out of that mess! Smart move having the crazy guy throw the knife right next to his binds! The drug-maker is killed, but not before the poison makes it into the champagne that Bobo is serving at the party.  Dolls, Willa, and Waverly arrive at the party to scope things out, which turns out to be a bit of a bust. Waverly can’t seem to find anything weird or off about the place.

Wynonna shows up a bit later looking absolutely stunning.  She tells them she found a letter: the ever so important lead Bobo has been searching for! The letter contains all of the juicy details about the entire Revenant situation and how they can escape. The perfect conditions just so happens to be during the winter solstice. Check! The second catch? The heir has to come willingly. Check? They come up with a plan to get Willa out safely, but she does not want to go. Naturally, the Earp’s have such strong heads so they didn’t seem to mind her decision. Dolls and Wynonna share an extremely hot moment, which happens right as Doc shows up (insert heartbreaking sound here).  Doc comes with a warning as he discovers where the poison went: into the champagne!

Bobo arrives fashionably late, as the bearer of bad news, and tells the party they need to give him the heir ” dead or alive Wynonna Earp”!  Waverly immediately grabs Willa and tries to leave. After running into Haught, sharing a hot moment as well, Waverly turns around to find Willa missing!  Little did anyone know she was going to end up being Bobo’s “lover”? Or at least one would be led to assume this. The end of the episode we see Willa and Bobo walking hand and hand down the road. I’m assuming Willa still has Peacemaker and assuming that they’re heading to cross the line so Bobo can be free!

Next week is the season finale of Wynonna Earp, which is really surprising it’s already here.  This show has been a wild and awesome ride since the beginning and I really enjoyed watching the show, and the actors, grow into themselves.  I’m really excited and nervous to see what’s going to happen next! Stay tuned for our review of Wynonna Earp next Friday!
